For Praying Out Loud

I don’t know about anyone else, but my kids are the only ones I know who fight over who gets to pray first at meals. Today has been a tough pray day for my 2 little ones, as they both race to be first and the loser is left grumpy, upset and crying. Justus is always the first to want to pray at meals and until recently they consisted of the mumblings of potential words with a discernible one every now and then until my husband or I would interrupt with a, “Aaaaaaaaahhhhmeeennnn…..” and his closure of “AMEN!” loudly. Now he has his practiced topics he has gathered from many nights of other people’s prayers and he fights for the opportunity to always pray at a meal.
One of these days I am going to set up a recorder because it’s so darn cute his insistent demand to ALWAYS be the one to pray.
